Dear Supporters.

I saw in your document at Headphone Driver Startup Control Register, Time constants assume 47uF decoupling cap.

But at my side, we are using 100uF as blow picture:

And I set that register as Example setup Session (w 0x30 0x14 0x25), but POP signal stiil there.

I thinks time constants settting was wrong. Do you have any suggestions in this case ?

Which is the best configuration with my design ?

I would suggest using a larger N value, and enabling the soft stepping.

I would try setting 0x14 to 0x99.

This enables the soft stepping with step time 100ms, sets the Value to 2, and leaves the R pop at 6k.

give that a shot and tell me if it is any better.

is the DAC muted when you enable the output or is it powered up?

Hi Steve,

I tried to setting with your command, but POP noise still there.
DAC had muted and powered down before I powered up HPL/HPR.
Should we change capacitors and resistors as default in documentation (47uF/32Ω) ?

I changed all the values in "Headphone Driver Startup Control Register - 0x01 / 0x14", but POP still exists.
Can you give me more suggestions about this issue?

All I need is for you to capture the pop on your tektronix scope, and upload the screen capture here. I just want to see what it looks like.

for example just the other day I captured the TLV320AIC3104 headphone output with the pop suppression enabled and here is what I saw:

That is pretty similar to what you should be seeing, assuming your pop suppression is functioning properly.

This happened when I used your recommended configuration (w 0x30 0x14 0x99 ). I think we need more time delay for power up headphone, right ?
