TAS2557: Parallel the Speaker

Hi Expert,

I want to use a TAS2557 for two speakers, the speakers is parallel. (8ohm//8ohm)

Do you have any suggestion for it? Thanks!

    Hi Jerry,

    TAS2557 is able to drive both speaker in parallel. It will see the load as 4ohm.
    However it would only be possible to drive the speaker in ROM modes, not smart-amp mode. The IV sense feedback coming from two speaker in parallel would not be trustworthy for the speaker protection algorithm.

    It is best to drive each speaker with separate device. For stereo solutions you can consider TAS2559+TAS2560.
