Can you suggest the speaker amplifier for the following requirement

1. Minimum 5W amplifier

2. Class D amplifier

3. 1-Channel (Mono)

4. Real-Time Diagnostics Using I/V Speaker Sense

5. Digital input - I2S interface and I2C

6. Protections - Over Current,Short Circuit (short to power, short to ground and terminal-to-terminal short), Over-Temperature

7. Shall detect open and short condition

8. Power supply maximum PVDD - 23V

9. IOVDD - 3.3V

Hi, Sivasuryan,

We don't have a device that supports all the requirements that you mentioned.

However, in case you could decrease the PVDD voltage from 23V to 16V, you may consider to use the TAS2770. This is a digital input mono Class-D Audio Amplifier with Speaker IV Sense. This device would support the most part of the characteristics that you are looking for. The point 7 ("shall detect open and short condition") could be achieved with an external comparator as mentioned in the documents below:

Otherwise, I would recommend to take a look at this filtered product family. I applied the most part of the characteristics that you mentioned to filter the results.

Can the part TAS2557 matches all our requirement except the PVDD voltage. Because the PVDD, we can provide 5V or 19V which is available in the system. If you have any other options kindly let me know.
