Hello,
We are considering the AIC3262 in our new design, and it looks promising so far. on the analog output side, we want a differential signal to drive a load of 16 ohm. From the datasheet it seems like we have different output options, so I would like to hear which one you recommend.
- The differential receiver output (RECP & RECM) is capable of delivering 128mW @ 32ohm, which is good, but I can't see if it can operate at lower impedances.
- On the other hand, the headphones output (HPL & HPR) can deliver diff. outputs and according to the datasheet drive loads down to 16ohm, but I don't know if this output is equally powerful.
If none of these work, we have an option to send a diff. line output from the AIC3262 to a separate amplifier (LM4811 or similar, which has worked well in the past) but naturally we hope to avoid it if possible.
Thanks.
Regards,
Eggz
