TAS2563: IV sens SmartAmp capability

Part Number: TAS2563

Hello,

Our customer consider to adapt TAS2563 to track a speaker system impedance sift at Low frequency resonance.

We did not have full of PPC3 SA characterization envelopment yet.

However before purchase EVMs, our customer wants to confirm TAS2563 IV sensing SA capability.

Expected function is that integrated "real-time measurement block" can monitor peak impedance of low frequency resonance.

Then SA algorithm will activate to compensate drive power and keep flatness of SPL when resonance frequency is sifted by temperature or by ageing of the unit.

Is this correct expectation?

  • Hi Mochizuki-san,

That is correct. The speaker must be first characterized, this way the algorithm will know what is the expected impedance, SPL, etc. During real-time protection the device will keep track of the speaker performance and adjust as needed, taking into account aging or temperature shifts.

  • Hi Ivan-san,

That is grate we will proceed to buy evaluation environment.
