How do I gain access to the PurePath Studio software

Hi, I am trying to validate a design using several PurePath ICs. To be sure of what is a valid configuration and to further investigate the possibilities I would like to use the PurePath Studio software. However each time I make a request for export access I am refused. Unfortunately the people dealing with the cases do not seem to help me. I have no clear explanation about what is causing the export request to be refused. Furthermore customer support seem unable to help.

I apologise for using the forum for this type of question, however I find no explanation about what information is required, or for that matter what part of my information is causing the problem. 

Currently I either decide against using PurePath prodcuts, or I will be forced to program them manually. Which will not be straightforward. It also means that I will not be aware of any configuration limitations until the point at which I start bit bashing the ICs.

Any help to explain how I might proceed would be much appreciated.

      which company you are working for and could you let us know reason you need PPC3 access and test PPC3?

    I'm involved in an early startup. Very early. For this reason although the domains have been registered etc, we have not yet incorporated. The early stage development is taking place from the founders personal investment. We do not wish at this stage to incorporate. We work on a self employed basis until such point as the prototypes are proven out. Therefore this may be the reason why these problems are occurring. As you will not find any legal reference to the company just yet. In Germany it is expensive to register and incorporate (Several 10s of thousands of Euro). It is an unnecessary expense we wish to delay.

    The reason we would like the PurePath Studio code, is due to the fact that we hope to move all the DSP code within the prototype to a common kernel. That being the miniDSP in the PP ADCs, DACs and CODECs. Currently the existing prototype uses several different DSPs from several vendors and the code for this is convoluted and inconsistent. We would like to have a homogeneous environment, We believe PurePath products offer exactly this.

    Having said this they are complex and many. Different features in each and the exact possibilities for signal routing and cycle overhead for DSP functions in the various members of the chipset are involved and require careful analysis of the datasheets. Even with this approach it is quite a headache to be confident that our proposed solution will tie together. I was under the impression that PPStudio will allow us to simulate a configuration without actually having hardware attached. Clearly not actually running DSP routines, but as a sanity check for routing and simultaneous feature usage.

    We therefore hope that the PPStudio code will assist in defining the requirements in software. Effectively using PPStudio as a mechanism to validate the configuration. Once this has been done it is our intention to layout a custom PCB for evaluation and then actually use PPStudio to generate the code required.

    I do hope you can help and find a way through our 'unusual' circumstances. I'm so sorry that we are not called Siemens, wouldn't that be easy.

    Let me see how we can help you.  It seems like you are using PP ADCs, DACs and CODECs.  Can you tell me which devices they are?  Unfortunately, I only support TI audio amplifiers, but I should be able to ask my colleagues who are expert on AC, DAC or CODEC to help you.

    At this point the devices we are most interested in are as follows:

    PCM5252

    PCM3070

    TLV320ADC3101

    but also PCM1804, but this has no miniDSP (shame)

    As a matter of interest the PCM5252 are actually driving TPA3255. This TPA3255 is the cornerstone of the entire project. Many of them as modular amplifiers, running at conservative power levels to keep THD as low as possible and avoid excessive heat dissipation. That's another story :)

    BTW can you tell me? Are the Biquads in the miniDSP high precision, i.e running 64bit state variables etc.
