TPA2011D1: Is a tpa2011D1 good choice?

Hi team,

We want to find an audio amp,the requirement as follow:

Requirements drive 4 euro 3W/5W, 5V input, small harmonic distortion, anti-breaking sound, AGC, with a variety of protection functions, need to be able to work reliably in outdoor scene for a long time, strong voltage and current impact ability, can be used outdoors.

We select tpa2011D1 at first, but from datasheet ,it has no anti-breaking sound function, so pls give some recommendation on it.

    Hi Sara,

    If you need analog input amplifier, perhaps TPA2028D1 could be a closer match. TPA2028D1 features AGC/DRC that is configurable through I2C.

    If you need digital input amplifier, we have our SmartAmps like TAS2557 or TAS2563 that feature embedded processing for speaker protection algorithms as well as voltage limiters and equalizer.

    Can you explain what you mean by anti-breaking sound?

    Sara,

    If digital input is an option, you can consider TAS2557 or TAS2563. These are SmartAmps that feature embedded processing for speaker protection algorithms, which avoid harmful events for the speaker like clipping, over-excursion and over-heating.

    Analog input amplifiers that feature some signal processing would not be able to reach 5W output, some lower power options could be TPA2026D2 for stereo and TPA2028D1 for mono.
