PCM1864: PCM1864 can support XLR interface input?

Part Number: PCM1864
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: OPA1632

Hi sir
My questions as below.

1. PCM1864 can support XLR interface input(Fully Diff)?

2. If we need add pre-amp in front of PCM1864, OPA1632 is suitable?

Thanks for your great support.

  • Add one.If TI have audio XLR application or reference design, could you share it with me? Thank you a lot.

  • Hello,

Yes, the PCM1864 can directly acquire differential outputs from an XLR connector.  I copied a section from the datasheet below that explains the inputs can be configured as differential or single-ended.

The PCM186x family of audio, analog-to-digital converters (ADCs) features a highly flexible, audio front end that
supports input levels from small millivolt microphone inputs to 2.1-VRMS line inputs. The analog front end can be
configured to support either differential or single-ended inputs, providing optimal performance when using
    differential inputs. Mixing single-ended and
