TAS2557: excursion questions

  • What makes the actual excursion is far lower than speaker box spec?
  • What makes enable the “phase shift” will make the excursion getting smaller

  • Hi Peter,

    Could you please send their PPC3 file and the test audio file is possible?

    I'll check the possible reasons for this. I wonder why the estimated excursion is low as well. Have they tried different audio files?

  • Hi Peter,

    I'm currently checking this out.

    Can you try to configure the device in ROM Mode 1 instead of using the snapshots? You can also try by enabling the FeedForward Protection in the SmartAmp panel.
    I want to verify if this could be caused due to the signal classifier. This feature is only present in smartamp mode with feedback enabled.
