PCM1863: Can it count the auido energy ?

Hi Team

Customer want to use PCM1863 or TLV320AIC5140 for ADC, and PCM5122 for DAC in their audio system .

As PCM186x have Energysense function, Customer want to count the auido energy by this function for displaying of the audio energy, such as below figure. Can these device（PCM186X, TLV320AIC5140, PCM5122) realize it ? or anyother suggestion ?

Aggil,

No, the PCM186x energysense feature cannot be used to create a spectrum analyzer. It is a low power, secondary ADC which can be used to detect signal in order to wake up the primary ADCs. Thus saving power.

Aggil,

TLV320ADC5140 is a 4 channel ADC, but it does not have a programmable DSP. it could be used in conjunction with a DSP of course.

The PCM5122 is a DAC. and does not have a programmable DSP.
