LMV1012: Connection between LMV1012 and Condenser MIC

Part Number: LMV1012
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: PCM2900C

I used a combination of the PCM2900C and LMV1012 to construct a mic record (stereo input) circuit.

Is the circuit configured as follows and is there any problem in LMV1012 circuit configuration?
I connect the LMV1012 without giving Micbias to the condenser mic, and try to input the output to the PCM2900C.
Is there a problem with this configuration?

please check it.

Thank you.

Best Regards

From Anthony.

  • Hi, Anthony,

I have some observations about the LMV1012 connection.

The MICBIAS is not required at the analog input. It is just required at the output resistor as shown in the datasheet : http://www.ti.com/lit/ds/symlink/lmv1012.pdf

However, I don't see the DC-blocking capacitor at the LMV1012 output in your design. You should add this capacitor in order to get the expected behavior and electrical characteristics of the datasheet.

The rest of circuit looks fine. Let me know if you have additional questions or comments.

    Best regards,
