TAS5825MEVM: How to evaluate muliple TAS5825M EVM using PPC3 uisng a single laptop?

Part Number: TAS5825MEVM
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TAS5825M, TAS5805, TAS5805M

Hi,

I trying to run a setup with at least 4 TAS5825M EVM to emulate left/right/centre/ATMOS speaker. Currently I can only drive each EVM with a separate PC/laptop. May I know if there is a simplified mean to connect these EVMs together and run through a single PPC3 GUI?

Thanks,

Christina

  • hi, Christina,

we had tried to control TAS5805 GUI and TAS5825 GUI in parallel (using one PC). below is the steps. you can try similar way to setup 4 TAS5825.

    1.       Connect TAS5805M EVM to the Computer.

    2.       Launch PPC3 TAS5805M GUI.

    3.       Connect PPC3 GUI to TAS5805M EVM.

    4.       Connect TAS5825M EVM to computer.

    5.       Launch TAS5825M RDGUI and Connect to TAS5825M EVM.

    6.       Try to change controls from both the GUIs.

    regards

    Linda

  • Hi Linda,

For different model using separate PPC3, it's doable. How about 4x TAS5825M EVM? Do you have a GUI or adapter board to merge the 4 different TAS5825M in a single connection to the PC?

    Thanks,

    Christina

  • hi, Christina,

I double confirmed with software team. currently PPC3 is suing one UI and only allow one app running. so you could need more PC to control 4xTAS5825 in parallel running.

we could plan roadmap new software strucutre to support this application.

    Regards
