    Hi ,

    The reference for the above query is that we require to connect AM5728 EVM with TLV320AIC3212 EVM ( device shall be eventually in our custom board ). Refer this query on TI forums.

    When searched for the drivers , in the AM572x SDK 5.03, we are unable to find the drivers for TLV320AIC3212. The codecs supported are TLV320AIC3204, TLV320AIC3206, TLV320AIC3256.

    Kindly share drivers for TLV320AIC3212 or how the above configuration can be worked out in software .

    There isn't a linux driver for the TLV320AIC3212.  There is an android driver that was made many years back that you might be able to use as a reference.

    The link shared by you is the driver for TLV320AIC3262 .

    Kindly share the link for TLV320AIC3212 drivers. And the experts may advise , we are looking for software compatability with AM5728 SOC and SDK 5.03 / 6.0. 

    Please suggest ASAP.

    Himani, 

    again,  there isn't a driver for the TLV320AIC3212.  the AIC3262 Is the same device with programmable DSP,  but it also has the same processing blocks that the AIC3212 has.  So the driver would work.  Note that the age of the driver is the biggest concern. 

    There is no plan to create further drivers for these devices at this time.

    Thanks for the information .

    There is still one doubt, how is this device TLV320AIC3212 is used by the other customers , if there is no software available to program or use the device as per the user application ???

    How is it integrated into custom systems ?

    Experts ! Please guide... This is very surprising that for this product NO DRIVERS ARE AVAILABLE.

    Hello Himani, 

    There are Drivers for the TLV320AIC3254/TLV320AIC3204  and the TLV320AIC310x family.  These drivers were made for linux kernel 2.7 I believe.  The driver is not supported by TI. 

    The pinout for all of these devices is not going to be the same or similar to the AIC3262. 

    I would think that your software engineers would be able to take the existing driver code and modify it to work with linux.
