Hi,

I am looking for Audio booster which build in with DSP Decoder, Memory and DAC/Amplifier communicate through CAN.

could you please advise which TI device will have the all the features ?? my Maximum power is ~ 75 A-weighted dB.

Hello,

We're not exactly sure what you're asking for. Are you looking for a Class-D type amplifier to increase or "Boost" the power output capabilities of a smaller signal output from an Audio DAC or CODEC? If you provide a block diagram it may help understand what you're looking for better.

Hi Arumugam,

For the DAC+Amplifier selection, think you should take a look at devices like:

PCM5142/PCM5242 + TPA3255/TPA3251

Or you can consider a class-D amplifier with integrated DAC, like the TAS3251.

All of these devices have a small DSP where you can implement your filter curve if you desire.

In regards to the CAN controller, you should take a look at our interface devices: http://www.ti.com/interface/can-lin/products.html

Finally, TI has many DSPs that you could consider. I suggest you start here:http://www.ti.com/processors/digital-signal-processors/media-audio-processors/overview.html

Hello Paul,

Thanks for your suggestion and devise details.

In my controller support only for CAN communication the PCM514X is support only I2C and SPI.

Can i use CAN to SPI/I2C bridge (like MCP2515) or you you have suggesting equivalent part from TI ?

Also please find attached block diagram and let me know your comments.

Hi Arumugan,

This looks good from the DAC perspective. I am not sure about the CAN controller - I am looping in some people from the interface team. I think they can provide a better recommendation than I can.

The TCAN4550 is a device that can do SPI to CAN operations. This is from the TRX product line and you may want to start a new thread in their forum for questions specifically concerning this device.
