TPA3111D1: speaker has the sizzle sound of current

Dear all：

I have a customer who is using TPA3111D1 to make music lamp, but now there is an abnormal situation: connecting bluetooth audio, the speaker has the sizzle sound of current.

1, The input power is dc source and the output power is 12V and 5V, 12V is for TPA3111, 5V is for bluetooth via LDO step-down 3.3v, PCB Layout basically refers to DEMO board, and the measured power ripple is about 100mV.

2, The audio signal is output from bluetooth, and the left and right sound channels are both monophonic channels. At the same time, it is connected to PIN12 of TPA3111D1, as shown in the attachment

3, The client listens to the headset from the R9/R10 terminal, but there is no sizzle sound. Therefore, it is not the problem of bluetooth output audio, but the problem of TPA3111D1.

Please help to check and confirm the cause of the speaker's current sizzling sound?
(R15, R16, R19, C25, C26 not welded, R17, R18 welding 0R)

Hello Timsen,

One of the things that could be causing the "sizzling" sound is from a noisy ground which would make the noise you are hearing much more apparent on the amplified output of the TPA3111D1. Adding 0.1uF decoupling caps to gnd close to all the AVCC pins on the TPA3111 will help. Also adding a 0.1uF decoupling cap on the input pin(pin 12) can help as well.

Thanks for your reply.But After debugging according to your suggestion, the result will improve a little, and there is still"sizzling" sound, is there any other solution?

What is the Spec for L2 and L3, a problem could be with your output filter but i need more information regarding those components.

Can you please try output LC filter using 22uH+0.68uF as EVM board design? Let us know sizzle sound is still there or not.

Hi Luis:

L2 and L3 is 22uH, now is still "sizzling" sound.

And there are two more questions:

1, Connect bluetooth and power on with a pop

2, After networking, master and slave voices cannot control each other

is there a solution?

Hello Timsen,

Are the C19 and C20 both mounted on boards?

Why INP (pin 12) connect to 2 audio source?

Please connect the input pins to GND through 1uF caps, and check if any pop and sizzling sound still happen.

If the Pop disappeared, the pop issue maybe related to the inductors mismatch. And the sizzling sound is from audio source or PCB layout.
