My customer needs to connect a 2W loud speaker (4 ohm, 2W) to an i.MX8 processor running LINUX: Which parts can enable such function? Ideally it has Linux driver support.
Thanks Josef

Josef,
There is a TLV320AIC3100 or TLV320DAC3100 which can do 2.5W into 4 ohms 10% THD With speaker supply voltage of 5.5V.
there is also a linux driver for this:

Steve,
I just received feedback that no microphone inputs are needed, hence the above suggestions are overspec'ed. Do you have a good recommendation for just the loudspeaker driver? Would the the TAS2559YZR be a good solution? Do we have LINUX drivers for it?
Thanks
Josef
Josef,
the TLV320DAC3100 does not have microphone inputs.
Let me loop in the LPAA team to further help you here.
