LM48560: Amplifier output

Part Number: LM48560

Hi TI,

Can you tell me the advantages and disadvantages of having an output voltage offset in the piezo position?

  • Hi Mason,

  • Mason,

Could you provide more information about your question?
Do you need output offset? Have you used other drivers with offset at the output?

When a load is connected in differential mode, like this case, any offset that is present at both sides of the connection (common-mode) is suppressed. If you need offset voltage in a differential load, you would need to induce the offset only on one side of the output pair. This is not common since most drivers are Class-D.
