Hello! We are using PPC3 to preconfigure TAS3251 with different sound effects but nothing changes at all. TAS3251 behaves like it is simply enabled.

All steps we do:

1) configure filters

2) dump current TAS3251's state

3) load generated configuration into TAS3251

Always result is the same: the output of TAS3251 is ordinary sound without filters applied (but configuration is different).

Could you please provide some working example configuration of some filter?

Hi,

First of all, please check the GUI is well connected to the EVM board. You can simply change some settings, like volume, input mixer, and check if there is any change on the output.

Secondly, are you able to use an oscilloscope to probe the output waveform on the speaker? It's much more easier to check if the changes are applied.

For the tuning, you may take slaa894 as a reference. Thanks!

We use our own prototype based on TAS3251. and controlled by MCU.

We can change volume, it is heard very well. But nothing else changes.

Do we understand correctly that to download configuration dumped by PPC3 is enough to activate generated filters?

Hi,

You may add some delay and have a try.

So currently the connection between controller and EVM is validated. To check if the filters are working well, you can adjust the filter parameters, shaping its frequency response, and check if the output by AP or an oscilloscope. It can be difficult for human ear to perceive small changes of sounds.
