TLV320AIC3256: purepath studio

Part Number: TLV320AIC3256
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TLV320AIC3254,

Hi, I am having trouble getting permission to download Purepath Studio.

I have downloaded and used the older version in the past without issue.

They keep sending emails saying they will do a business review but nothing happens.

It seams like an odd thing to do since I may have to use a part from another company if

I cannot download it.

I'd rather stick with TLV320AIC3254 or TLV320AIC3256 since I have used the codec before.

I'm a small startup audio design engineering company based in the UK.

Do you think that is a problem for TI? Do they only allow larger corporate users to use Purepath Studio?

  • Hi Ben,

Were you able to get Purepath Studio access?

Please let me know if you are still needing access and I will make sure you have it.

    best regards,

    -Steve Wilson

  • NO , if I click download then I submit export customs info I never get sent a download link.

I already had access to PurePath before but can't find my old download of it.

    I've basically given up.

I managed to get a second order biquad filter running in my arm MC DSP library but have some

noise issues as I would need to oversample and filter to. Yes I i'm sure I could do this but..

It would make more sense to just use TI's codec as its more suited for low power.

I see in the TLV320AIC3254 data sheet I'll need to use the PurePath software to generate the hex code to make

the EQ curve i need for the application using 1st order IIR filters.

  • Ben,

I want to apologize, I'm not sure how your requests get lost in export customs,  I have forced your approval, and it should now be available for you to download in your MySecureSoftware at TI.com click link below:

    best regards,

    -Steve Wilson
