Hi,

I use software GDE to config TAS5711 as well, but once turn off the device, all of config will be clear, is it correct? if yes that means TAS5711 required a host MCU to restore the config once power up, am I right?

Hi, Edwin,

Your understanding is correct.

All the data is stored in volatile memory (registers) that are lost when power is removed from the device.

the GDE has a logging feature --> you can store the steps you use to set-up the device, and save it to a file. Later, you could load this file, and the device will be set-up the same as before.

Dear Sir,

I checked TAS5711 datasheet the I2C is support slave mode only, that means a external MCU is a must seems MSP430 value line is a good choose.

However could you advise the save path of the I2C log file? I would like to study and then develop a MCU firmware. thanks

Yup, MSP430 is awesome for this; in fact, we have many demos that we've built using the MSP430 to control the amps.

You may want to check with the FAEs in the local TI office; they might already have MSP430 code to do this.
