Part Number: TLV320AIC3104-Q1

Dear team,

After I setup the GUI and connect the USB cable between PC and EVM, the below information-connect USB still exist the interface, and the D3,D4,D7.D8 is green light, D2 also light, but the color is yellow instead of green, and D5 is red light. Is there any wrong with my setting?

Thanks & Best Regards,

Sherry

  • Hello Sherry,

The LEDs you described sound normal. Unfortunately, we have had some difficulties with the current GUI and Windows 10. We are in the process of creating a new GUI.

With that being said, can you check the device manager and see if the USB-MODEVM is getting recognized by the PC?

    Regards,

    Aaron

  • Hi Aaron,

    Thanks for your reply!

Could you please tell me when will be the GUI compatible with Win10 available?

Please check below device manager, it seems like it lacks some drivers.

    Thanks & Best Regards,

    Sherry

  • Hi Sherry,

    Apologies for the inconvenience.

Let me know if this works:

Download the windows vista and Windows7 driver on the EVM product forlder (located in the software section)

The driver folder contains two files:

    1. USB-MODEVM_vista&7.inf

    2. USB-MODEVM_WDM.inf

    Instructions for installing these files:

    USB-MODEVM_vista&7.inf Installation:
To apply the contents of this file to a system's settings, right-click
this file and choose "Install". If the device was plugged in before this
file is installed, the device will need to be removed from the "Unknown
Devices" class in the Windows Device Manager.

    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    USB-MODEVM_WDM.inf installation:

To apply the contents of this file to a system's settings, copy this file
to %SystemRoot%\inf and reboot the computer. If the device was
installed before this file is copied, the device will need to be removed
from the "Unknown Devices" class in the Windows Device Manager.

FYI the drivers were designed for windows 7 and vista, For windows 10,  you will need to disable signature. To install the USB-MODEVM_WDM.inf file and disable the driver signature, repeat the steps below:

In the search bar, type in "Run" then in the Run Search, type %SystemRoot%\inf. This will take you to where you need to copy and past the .inf file.

After that is done, make sure the windows driver signature is disabled. You can do this by following the steps below:

    1. Windows Settings

    2. Update & Security

    3. Go to Recovery tab on the left

    4. Go to Advanced startup and restart the PC

    5. Then go to Troubleshoot --> Advanced Options

    6. On the bottom of the window, click on See More Recovery Options

    7. Start-Up settings --> Restart

This should disable the driver signature for windows and restart your PC. The USB-MODEVM drivers are not signed and this seems to cause problems when trying to install the drivers. Let me know if this works.

    Regards,

    Aaron
