TAS5806MEVM: Trying to get audio out of the EVM

Part Number: TAS5806MEVM

I have:

TAS5806MEVM connected to a PurePath Console MB.

This is powered from +12V and a speaker is attached to OUT1A

PPCMB is connected to a Win10 PC via USB

PurePath Console 3 suite has been installed on the Win10PC

I see a USBAudioEVM sound device in Win10.

I don't hear any Audio when playing back through the USBAudioEVM

Do I need to enable something with the PP Console?

Hello Stephen,

Have you ran the system checks on PPC, what messages do you see?

Have you tried changing the Audio I/O in PPC?

Have you probed the I2S clocks on the EVM, do you see signals there?

Hi Luis,

Well, it turns out I don't have the required PPC "app" for the TAS5608M - so I'm going to have to request that from TI

I just thought the EVM would "make sound" without any intervention from PPC
