Hi,

My customer ask me that PPC2 register dump will generate a large size of code, they can't easily find which register has been changed.

I told them to do a comparison between before and after code, do you have better options? like a guidance can tell each register meanings?

BTW, they mentioned they want to do EQ online, so maybe comparison will not work in this occasion. Feel free to tell me if you have any ideas.

did your customer using PPC2 online EQ change, then dump register?

Hi Linda,

Yes, they want to know if there is a method to identify the code which been changed, rather than compare the before and after code.

So, do we have such method can do that?

Hi Mason,

For application usage, if customer wants to distinguinish different EQ settings, it is suggested to use TI's PPC2 GUI.

After the EQ setting, they can dump the code as well as "Save Settings" just below the EQ tuning GUI. With this way, customer can save different version of EQ for online EQ tuning.

It is not suggested to tell different EQ through the code itself as EQ coefficients have been transformed to register values by GUI. Each EQ consists of 5 coefficients (8 registers), it is hard to distinguish.
