I tried to make a PCB for this preamp - with no luck. I tried the 5V version (with OPA322 amplifier, p.19). And one thing I notices there's a C1 on the Electrical Schematic (p.21) but it doesn't exist on any other circuit in the document. Can someone please explain what is it for?
I mean I made the whole circuit but it doesn't seem to work... And I don't have any idea why. I think I understand everything except for the C1.
Hi Alex,
Capacitor C1 is used as a bulk decoupling capacitor. This capacitor is common on boards to decouple the power supplies as soon as the supply enters the board, then smaller (0.1uF) capacitors are used as local decoupling capacitors.
