Why can't I achieve 70W when I use 21V power supply? What's the reason? What needs to be adjusted?
What is the peripheral circuit of pin 6-8 of IC?

Hi,
What's your output load configuration, BTL or PBTL, 4/6/8 ohm load?
Another point is the output power definition should be together with THD level? For example, 21V for 4ohm load, the PVDD clipping (~1% THD) is going to happen around ~50W. With this setting, it couldn't achieve 70W output power.

Hi,
TPA3116 can not achieve 70W even at 2 ohm load@PVCC=21V. Because TPA3116 OC current threshold is 7.5A, using 2ohm load@ 21V will trigger OC fault.
I suggest TPA3156 device for your application.

Derek
