PGA2500: EVM set-up / issue with parallel interface

Hi all

My customer is looking at the PGA2500 / PGA2505 and has bought the EVMs. So far they haven't been able to make this work due to the parallel interface and SW that is only running on legacy operating systems. They did buy a USB-to-parallel port adapter but were not successful with this.

Can you help here ?

Can you document a configuration / set-up that works ?

    Thank you for your post. I can help you.

    Can you clarify which USB-to-Parallel port adapter they bought? The ones we've seen are for printers. So while it may fit, the connections are NOT the same so it will not work with the PGA2500 /PGA2505 EVM.

    We are looking into updating this EVM to have a more modern solution with a USB. 

    Another option could be to buy a parallel port card that can be installed into a tower of a computer.
