TAS5805M: AM Reception and Pop and clicks

Part Number: TAS5805M

Hi team,

Why AM Reception and Pop and clicks are Common Problem of Class-D/Digital Amplifier?

Could you please explain it in detail?

Br,

Nison

  • Naizeng,

The AM problem mostly depends on switching frequency of classD. such as 384KHz, the 2nd and 3rd harmonic sits in AM frequency range.

As to pop and clicks, we need to talk about the detailed level. If the level is low enough that human ears can't hear, that would be not a problem. so we need to talk with each device pop level value. are you interested in TAS5805M's pop click?

  • Dylan,

    Thanks for your professional answer!

I'm just curious about what is Pop and clicks. And is it also a problem for analog AMP?

Would you like to share some materials about Pop and clicks?

  • He Nison,

    Please refer to : .

In general, pop & click is also related to speaker, which means different speaker may show different pop click level due to their sensitivity.
