TAS2563: TAS2563 TX doesn't work from MIC

Hi Expert,

At customer side, after loading driver into TAS2563, it now can play(RX ok), but cannot record from MIC(TX bad). They can ensure clock from input to DMIC & data from DMIC to 2563 are good. No sound1 data can be observed.

They have never loaded firmware. Would you please help confirm if it is caused by firmware or not?

I heard that the firmware supporting DMIC should be ready by Feb 2020, what about it now?

    Hi Ivan,

    Customer has installed PPC3 with TAS2563, but still failed to record.

    Some evidence for your reference:

    1. PDMCK can output clock, but the frequency of clock is 2.67MHz or 5.34MHz, different from 3.072Mhz or 6.144MHz in spec.

    2. Clock can output, only after SBCK1 enables input.

    2. PDMD can normally receive PDM data input.

    3. SDOUT1 cannot output PCM data.

    As pointed out before, PDM Mic support is not released yet to the PPC3 version that is online.

    Please reach out at e-mail and we can provide details on the beta we have to evaluate it.

    However the clock frequencies you mention are not expected, please also include captures or diagrams of customer connections and how they're configuring the device.
