TPA3138D2: used input pins for BTL mode

Hi team,

When only using left channel of the device for BTL mode, which way is the best way to handle the right channel input RINN/RINP? Short to ground directly, leave them floating? or short the two pins together?

If left floating, could there be any problem?

Hi George,

We suggest to short the un-used input pins to ground through 1uF caps.

Because the 2 channels are separated and 2 channels both work after enable device, so there will have noise to be amplified if un-used pins floating.

Is 2.5V bias internally biased through capacitors? So I guess short the pins to ground should also be fine?

Hi George,

Yes, there is internal 2.5V Vbias on input pins. So the input pins can not short to ground directly.
