TAS2557: [TAS2557] Application Question

Part Number: TAS2557

Dear team,

  1. Could we use 1.5uH for boost inductor? Our usecase is for SPK max. output < 1W.

(1) Description of Inductor in our project: 1.5uH,+/-20%,MBKK1608T1R5M,TAIYO YUDEN,200mohm,1000mA

(2) Inductor in your TAS2557 datasheet as below picture:

2. Is it possible to not connect I2S MCLK?

If yes, should we let it be floating?

If your need further information, please feel free to let me know. Thank you.

Kane

  • Hi, Kane,

Please take a look at my responses below and let me know if you have additional questions or comments.

1.- Yes, you can use down to 1uH inductor. The 1.5uH that you mentioned will work for this device.

2.- Yes, the MCLK can be disconnected. When this pin is not used it must be left floated.

    Best regards,
    Luis Fernando Rodríguez S.
