TAS5825M: Smart Amp Question

Hi Team,

Does TI offer any smart amps that allow the user to change the control loop of the amplifier? My customer has been looking into the alternate methods of feedback for speakers (aside from V and I) and we are wondering if any smart amps offer the hooks to do that. Of course, a lot of this depends on what the control loop looks like for a given system, but are there any parts we could look at that offer something like this?

Hey Mitchell,

The feedback that I have gotten from our systems team is that this is not currently supported in our algorithm for mid power audio amplifiers. In order to change the control loop we would have to change the algorithm and our DSP does not support customer programmable applications as your request suggests.

However, I am not able to speak for the low-power audio and actuators team, please check with them.
