LM4861: Gain query

Hi sir,

For application circuit of this part LM4861,

I can find LM4861 provides 2x gain for Rf= Ri in datasheet.

Is it possible to attenuate amplifier gain so that it is less than 2x  (i.e., Rf < Ri)?  

Application currently looking like <1.5x.
