No audio after a pcm1680 DAC chip was installed.

I am not a tech, but I do need assistance. I purchased a DAC chip (pcm1680) for my Panasonic SA-HT833V DVD/VHS home theater sound system, a tech installed it into the system but still there is no audio. The DVD's and CD's are playing but I am not getting any audio. Can some one guide me on how to enter the settings for it to work?

    Hi, Stephon,

    Are you saying you took your DVD/VHS system to a repair shop, and they installed a PCM1680 for you? I am unfamiliar with this part number, did it use a PCM1680 originally, or was it some kind of upgrade to get better audio quality from a better DAC?

    Your best bet is to take it back to the guy who worked on it for you, and tell him it doesn't work and see if he can fix it for you.

    Yes I took it to a repair shop and yes it was the original part. The guy had it for about 2 mths and he still did not get the solution so I am trying online for assistance.
