Hello professional,

I have questions regarding TAS5782 TDM input.
Would you answer below questions?

1.
Data sheet said this device can be used with 128~3072fs MCLK.
Is there any limitation regarding this? For example, MCLK must be multiple of 128, MCLK must be lager than SCK or etc...

2.
Could you explain about why need MCLK for TDM operation?
Because, MCLK is not mandatory for TDM operation as I know.

Hi,

1. Clock frequency and divider setting recommendations are listed on Table 6 on d/s. You may pick up one option from it accordingly.

2. You are right, MCLK is not mandatory in general TDM operation. But for TAS5782, MCLK is necessary for the internal clock tree structure.
