TLV320ADC3140: Cannot connect with PPC3...

Part Number: TLV320ADC3140

Dear Sirs,

I found the connection issue of ADC3140 EVM and PPC3.

1. While connecting EVM with PC, then launch PPC3, the GUI can detect EVM attached.

2. Then press "New" button, and there is error message show up and cannot communicate with EVM.

3. Tried to reboot PC, re-power EVM, and launch PPC3 again, but still fail. Also test under WIN10 and WIN7 PC and issue always happened.

4. There is very small chance to go through the issue and can step to next screen, but while try to active it, it still had connection issue and cannot use.

Is there any advice about this?

    Hi Peter,

    I have mostly seen this occur if one of the power supplies is not provided. Can you start by verifying that the IC is receiving power on AVDD and IOVDD? There are jumper settings on the AC-MB to set the IOVDD level as well and this needs to be populated to set the IOVDD to either 1.8V or 3.3V.
