PCM5102A: Line out SNR performance for different input source...

Part Number: PCM5102A

Dear Sirs,

Below are my customer test signal path.

1. WIFI -> CPU -> I2S -> TI(PCM5102A) -> LINE OUT(2VRMS)

2. USB storage -> CPU -> I2S -> TI(PCM5102A) -> LINE OUT(2VRMS)

Will the line out SNR will different due to different signal source?

    Hi Peter,

    Assuming the I2S source is the same (both USB) will have the same jitter and timing parameters, then the performance should be the same.  But, for example, there could be different if the sample rates are different.  The device does not know the difference between sources.
