TPA3128D2: Can work at 2ohm impedance using BTL?

Hi team,

Customer is evaluating TPA3128D2EVM with BTL connection.
We are using 4ohm speaker with around 15W at this moment.

According to datasheet, minimum load impedance is 3.2ohm.
If we reduce energy to 5W,can the BTL 2ohm speaker operate?

We may use 2 4ohm speakers in parallel, so we would like to confirm 2ohm speaker is acceptable or not.

Hi Koyo,

The recommendation on datasheet is considered to OC protection.

Of course, you can use 2 ohm load at 5W output. TPA3128 OC protection threshold is 7.5A.
