Hi Team,

My customer is working on Kontron based X86 E3900 Apollo Lake COM module and they are Ubuntu 18.04 LTS as the OS with kernel version 5.4.48.

Can you please share any reference for TLV320DAC3202 connected on Intel processor as not seeing any o/p on i2s. Added the snd_soc_tlv32aic32x4 and snd_soc_tlv32aic32x4-i2c in /etc/modules for loading at boot-up time.

Just to clarify, is the customer using the TLV320DAC3202EVM or the TLV320DAC3203EVM?

The TLV320DAC3202 is obsolete now and there is not too much information besides the User's Guide and the Datasheet.

Thanks for your reply. We are using TLV320DAC3203 apologies for typo. What configuration we need to set in Ubuntu 18.04 /20.04 on Intel Apollo lake for getting i2s signals(mclk) . we included snd_soc_tlv320dac32x4.ko and snd_soc_tlv320dac32x4-i2s.ko.

Welcome to E2E!

Unfortunately, we can just provide support on the TLV320DAC3203 configuration and not the external processor.

Is the processor sending a clock signal?

We can guide you with the TLV320DAC3203 registers settings.

No, we are not getting i2s clock from Intel 3900, checking are there any setting we need to do in Ubuntu to enable the same.

Any pointer here would be of great help.

We are able to access the TLV320DAC3202 over the I2C.

Hi, Phaniram,

From the Intel 3900 or any other processor, we cannot provide guidance since we don't support these devices. I could only recommend to check if there are some audio serial interfaces in the processor so it can generate a MCLK (TLV320DAC3203 in master mode) or the BCLK and WCLK clocks (TLV320DAC3203 in slave mode).

I recommend to contact the processor manufacturer for these details.

We can provide all the support you require for the TLV320DAC3203 or any other device from the same family. In case you have additional questions or comments about them, we will be glad to help you.
