Zak might want to include CDE's new acrylic film capacitors for audio and timing -- FCA1206A105M-H3 1uF 10V in 1206 -- from the datasheet they appear to set a new lower threshold of THD% performance.  Additionally, a method of THD analysis with a much lower level of precision has been demonstrated using two signals in quadrature -- possible with the Audio Precision SYS2722.

    Thank you for your interest in my article! It's funny that you mention the caps from CDE. We wanted to avoid endorsing any particular brands since we did this testing on our own, but I did actually look at those capacitors and for the size I can confirm the performance is excellent! If you take a look at one of our TLV320ADC5140 or TLV320ADC6140 evaluation modules, you may notice these are actually the caps we use to AC couple the inputs.

    I'm not familiar with the method of THD analysis you mentioned, but I am intrigued. Is there an article you could share on this method?
