TAS5729MD: Linux driver for TAS5729MD

I am currently trying to create a driver which connects the SOC on a custom board to a TAS5729MD but am stuck in the process. I am using the tas571x codec driver which should work with the amplifier.

I have tried the simple-audio-card driver but it does not seem to work with these tas devices. The driver must connect the SOC through SAI -> I2S -> TAS5729MD.

Does anybody have some hints, examples or source snippets on how to do this driver? Been looking for similar setups but - to me - it seems that no one has used this amplifier on a Linux board?

Hello Esben,

We have example linux drivers to interact with the TAS58xx family that was mentioned in your initial support thread https://e2e.ti.com/support/audio/f/6/t/942308 that can be used as a reference, but we do not provide linux drivers for the devices in our portfolio. We can't answer questions on soundcard driver as that mostly pertains to the SoC you are using, I would recommend you ask your SoC vendor for information on setting up/configuring I2S for that SoC.
