Hi,

On the application notes of TAS2505 (SLAU472, page 28 2.5.3.1) I find the following table for consumption on the various power supplies.

From which it appears that the absorption on AVDD and DVDD is about 2mA. Is this the case or can the absorption on these power supplies be higher?

Hi, Antonio,

The cases of the page 28 are specific measurements for Speaker output, Mono, 48 kHz, Highest Performance, DVDD = IOVDD = 1.8 V, AVDD = 1.8 V, SPKVDD = 3.6V. Additionally, no signal is present and the PLL is off.

If any of these parameters change, the current consumption may vary too. Specially, the PLL and the input signal may vary the current significantly.

So, higher consumption can be expected.

Ok thanks, How much this consumption could increase, tens or hundreds of mA? Even a rough estimation could be useful.

I also take this opportunity to ask you if there are any p.n. alternative to this with more or less the same diagnostics and with power> = 2.5W.

Regarding the alternative part number, have you taken a look at the TLV320DAC3100? This device has similar characteristics than the TAS205.

Ok thanks, the p/n should always be AEC-Q100 qualified, do we have TLV320DAC3100 in AEC-Q100? Or anything similar with AEC-Q100?

Hi, Antonio,

I think the only AEC-Q100 qualified device in our portfolio is the TAS2505-Q1.

I would suggest to start a new thread asking for the TLV320AIC3109-Q1, TLV320AIC3254-Q1 or some of these products in our automotive portfolio:

These devices belong to another group, so the right experts can guide you on your product selection. They could have some overkilling features, but some of the characteristics of the TAS2505-Q1 and the TLV320DAC3100 are shared with these devices.
