OPA1637: Benefit for Mixer and pro-amplifier

Hi team.

Now I want to use the OPA1637 for my mixer project, but I have some question for that:

1. As we know, the fully-differential Amp can benefit a lot for the noise, but I am confused about the specific improvement in the real situation. Do you have any test report or documnet to describe how the fully-differential Amp benefit the end equipmeny in industrial audio such as Mixer and pro-amplifier?

2. As it's a new product, I'm a little worried about whether there will be problems in practical application. Could you please share the successful representative customer in industrail audio who used the OPA1637 in project ?

Hi Wesley,

As you pointed out, TI's fully differential audio amps are designed in low noise, especially OPA1637 could improve not only voltage noise but also current noise due to TI's super-beta bipolar transistor technology.
While, I had heard some audio engineer preferred to use the fully differential audio amps due to the distortion.
As you can see in the Fully-Differential Amplifiers application note, theoretically, the fully differential architecture can reduce odd-order harmonic distortion, and some audio engineers dislike odd-order harmonic distortion rather than even-order distortion, due to their hearing experience.
