TLV320AIC3120: Implementing a selector

Part Number: TLV320AIC3120

Hi team,

Good day.

Our customer would like to know if it is possible to implement a selector, set the RX/TX attenuation, for a half-duplex handphone using the TLV320AIC3120? Thanks for your confirmation.

Regards,
Carlo

  • Hi Carlo,

The TLV320AIC3120 is used in many applications including headsets/phones.  That said, every system is different, could you provide a block diagram of what's being connected to the CODEC and what signal levels are required on the input and output side?

The device supports microphone inputs and mono Class-D outputs sounds like it would work well.  The input/output gains are programmable and even have an external option for a potentiometer based volume control on the VOL/MICDET pin.
