Hi Sir,

I have a problem, for load 2~4ohm enter to PBTL Configuration, would you please take a look and provide the suggestion can meet datasheet 600W Mono?

Vin=52V , 1KHz Frequency

1.the out pin : FAULT=0，CLIP=0

2.Mode=PBTL ，M1=0; M2=1，J7/J8=0

Output RMS=31.5V

The 2~4ohm load test result as below:

CH1=CLIP_OTW CH2=Fault CH3=Output

PVDD=52V，output Fail 1KHz/31.5V RMS/Load 3ohm

Hi Kevin,

I see you are still testing with the EVM! This should hopefully make it easier to debug. Please change the resistors R36 and R52 to 0 ohm resistors. See if that fixes the problem. Also I couldn't tell how thick the wire to the speaker you are using is. Can you tell me what gauge?

Hi Kevin,

Are they using grabbers to connect the EVM to the speaker? I recommend they use a banana cable to the banana mate.

Also have they made the changes I recommended?

Hi Team,

Have changed before, and video is this solution; the connection wire diameter is 14AWG between Speaker and TPA3255.

Hi Kevin,

I took measurement on the EVM. I've run test on EVM. PVDD=52V, 2R load, PBTL mode, Input level was 1.5Vrms, 1kHz sine wave.

I got 570W output power with 1.4% THD+N ratio.

Could you provide the waveform capture on the OUTA and OUTB on the EVM?

Hi Team,

Base on TPA3255 EVM user guide, PBTL Output Configurations need OUTA contct OUTB and OUTC contect OUTD to Speaker, but you provide picture is only OUTA and OUTB contect Speaker, is real?

We soldered a pre-filter PBTL connection on the bottom side of the board. If you want to see it, I can take a picture for you.

Please refer to the red wire that a pre filter PBTL is done. Other wires are for some test else that doesn't affect the power capability.

The pre-filter PBTL should have the same power capability with post filter PBTL.
