PCM5102A: Characteristics vs sampling rate

Part Number: PCM5102A

Hi,

Dynamic and S/N is specified at fs=48kHz and 96kHz.

My customer is considering using the PCM5102A at 44.1kHz and concerns about dynamic range and S/N at the case.

Do you know characteristics at 44.1kHz sample rate?

    Hi Kuramochi-san,

    The PCM5102A's performance at 44.1kHz will be the same as at 48kHz.  The clock detection circuit detects both 48kHz and 44.1kHz within the same range and configures the clock tree automatically with the same values for both frequencies.  This means that the device is oversampling at the same ratio and interpolating at the same ratio as well.  I have found no measurable difference in the two frequencies.
