TAS3251: TAS3251 cannot be output

Hi Gust,

1. SCLK should be 3.072MHz, and LRCLK should be 48kHz. Please make sure you are not swapping them in mistake.

2. If MCLK is tied to GND, you will need to set the device into 3-wire PCM mode. Register 0x0D should be set as 0x10. Have you done that?

3. Please use the register 0x55 and GPIO pin status for fault information.

The following figure shows the customer's TAS3251 schematic diagram and configuration parameter settings.

Problem they encountered: Using the parameters in the figure below, the audio from I2S input signal to output cannot be realized on the board. Please help to check whether the configuration parameters and schematic diagram are wrong.

Thank you for your reply. My customer has completed the check.

1. The clock has connected correctly.

2. The register 0x0D is 0x10.

3.The register 0x55 is 0x07.

There are currently the following issues:

1. DACOUT output is intermittent.

2. In PBTL mode, how to realize online debugging when the ADR pin is pulled to ground?

1. What's the audio input in your test?

2. Is there any switching behavior on the SPK_OUTx pins? Any output on the speaker terminal?

3. Any output on SDOUT?

4. How did customer using PPC3 to control their own board?

Hi Sam,

1.The input audio is the sine wave output by the test instrument, the frequency is 1kHz and it converts into an I2S signal by ADC.

2.SPK_OUTx pins have no switching behavior. The speaker terminal has the same out like DACOUT.
