PCM3060 Question

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: PCM3060

I have a question about the PCM3060. We're trying to verify that we have the SPI working correctly. According to the datasheet register 69 has a couple of bits AZRO and ZREV that can be set to control the output levels on ZEROL and ZEROR.

I have a couple of questions about this:

1. does writing register 69 have an immediate effect on the pins ZEROR and ZEROL?
2. if we're not yet writing I2S data, do we need to write to register 64, bit DAPSV (to take the DAC out of power-save mdoe) to before trying to program register 69?

Thanks.
