PCM3060: Behavior for single-ended mode

Hi,

According to PCM3060 data sheet, I understand that VOUTL+ and VOUTR+ are assigned in single-ended mode if connecting MODE pin to VDD through 220-kΩ pull-up resistor.
However, the dac signals are also output from VOUTL- and VOUTR- even if connecting MODE pin to VDD through 220-kΩ pull-up resistor and toggling /RST.
For PCM3060, is this behavior correct?

Hello Kato,

I think that with the MODE pin pulled up using a 220kohm resistor will set the outputs to single-ended and VoutX- should be left floating.

Could you please tell me the difference between the single-ended mode and the differential mode in internal operation?
I am confused since the DAC signals are also output from VOUTL- and VOUTR-. So, please tell me that reason.

Hello Kato-san,

No worries and apologies for the delay.

As far as the how this works internally, I am not quite sure on the specifics. When configured in differential mode, both VoutX+/- are used. In single-ended mode, only VoutX+ is used.
