ADC6140EVM-PDK: Using master mode in purepath

Part Number: ADC6140EVM-PDK
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TLV320ADC6140

HI

I would like to test the performance of the TLV320ADC6140 on the EV board, I'm using Purepath.

Everything works fine in slave mode, and my question is now, is it possible to set the EV board up in master mode, and run it with :

1channel.

Sampling rate: 96kHz

MCLK 24.576MHz

BCLK/FSYNC ratio: 32

I can do it with my microcontroller, but can I do it with purepath?

So i'm a little in doubt if I should add a 24,576MHz MCLK from an external device. hope you can help, thanks in advance.

  • Hello,

It is possible to configure the device using ADCx140 PPC3 application into the master-mode of operation you're desiring.  However you'll need to provide the external audio serial interface (ASI) signals through the header row on the AC-MB and then flip the switches to "External ASI" because the XMOS processor is only configured to operate as the bus master with the PPC3 USB Audio Driver.
