TPA3221: Is there any example of TPA3221 in a 25V PA system?

Hi,

I am looking for an example of TPA3221 like amplifiers being used in a 25V distributed audio Paging systems.

Also would TPA3221 work with unbalanced line level mono audio at the input?

Hi Samer,

The TPA3221 should be able to work in a 25V distributed audio system without any issues. Though we don't have any examples of this exact configuration.

The TPA3221 does allow for single-ended input. I'd recommend taking a look at section 9.3.1.1 in the TPA3221 datasheet. For your convenience I've attached the figure showing how to setup a single-ended (unbalanced) input.

This figure shows only with stereo setup. To have a mono configuration, please look at section 9.4 in the datasheet. Please note that this device supports several mono configurations.

How much watts would it support with 8ohm speaker in Mono?

Hi Samer,

The limitation would be in the voltage source. At 1% THD+N the device can output 35W. At 10% THD+N, about 42W.
